Casa Nudista Zipolite: A Nudist & Unapologetically Gay Escape in Mexico
Overview
From its palm-shaded pool and rooftop sundecks to the cheeky sense of freedom that defines the entire experience, Casa Nudista is exactly what it sounds like—a nudism-required gay hotel that’s as fun and flirty as it is inclusive and welcoming.
After a recent renovation following Hurricane Agatha in 2022, the hotel now features upgraded sun decks, comfortable new loungers, and a “Miami meets Zipolite” outdoor shower that’s serving serious vacation fantasy.
It’s no wonder this hotel sells out months in advance during high season (December–April), so be sure to book early on Booking.com. Look for the Travel Proud badge—a program we love that ensures the property is trained to provide inclusive, welcoming experiences for LGBTQ+ travelers.

Location
Casa Nudista is perfectly located just two blocks from the beach and one block from the Adoquín, Zipolite’s main pedestrian street filled with restaurants, mezcalerías, and local shops.
To enter the hotel, walk down the alleyway on the left side of the property, then ring the buzzer or use your key fob once you’ve checked in. It’s discreet, safe, and totally private—perfect for your nudist adventures.
Facilities
The vibe at Casa Nudista is sexy but never overtly sexual. The property is beautifully maintained with lush landscaping, multiple seating areas, and plenty of shade for lounging by the pool—all in your birthday suit, of course.
A few highlights:
- Nudism is required in all public areas.
- Two new rooftop sundecks added post-hurricane.
- Charging stations for phones and laptops.
- Outdoor communal dining area with complimentary breakfast.
- Poolside food and bar service daily until around 10pm.
- Day passes available (150 pesos, includes 100 pesos in drinks/food).
Accomodations
Casa Nudista offers a variety of accommodations from glamping huts and dorm-style rooms to private bungalows with outdoor kitchens and terraces.
We stayed in Room 7, a Standard Bungalow with:
- King-size bed with mosquito netting
- A/C and a private terrace
- Outdoor kitchen with fridge + bottled water
- Private bathroom with plush towels and toiletries
- Colorful beach towels from Mexoni (available to buy on the Adoquín!)
Larger bungalows accommodate up to 4 people, and all spaces are designed with social connection in mind.
We booked our stay using Booking, the most popular and LGBTQ+ supportive travel platform headquartered in Europe. We stayed during the shoulder season and snagged a great rate for just under $100 per night!
Food & Drink
A light breakfast is included daily from 8–11am with chocolate croissants, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice.
Poolside food and drinks are available to order throughout the day. Prices are affordable:
- Domestic beers (like Victoria): 50 pesos (~$2.50 USD)
- Cocktails: 100 pesos (~$5 USD)
Try the mezcalitas. Trust us.
Overall Experience
What makes Casa Nudista so special isn’t just the sexy design or friendly staff—it’s the vibe. It’s unapologetically gay, proudly nudist, and surprisingly social. Everyone’s naked, and that’s exactly what makes it easy to strike up a conversation.
Even if you’re shy, you’ll quickly feel at home here.
