Location

Situated in the heart of Sitges’ historic center, Elite Hotel is just minutes from everything. You’re a short stroll from:

  • Balmins Beach, a local favorite for nudists and gay sunbathers (10–15 minutes)
  • Platja de la Bassa Rodona, the main gay beach (about 5 minutes)
  • All the iconic Sitges gay bars and restaurants, including Parrots, Bears Bar, and Queenz
  • The Sitges train station, offering easy access to and from Barcelona (about 10 minutes on foot)

Despite the central location, the hotel is tucked on a quiet side street, which makes it feel private and relaxed—perfect after a night out.

Facilities

For a boutique property, Elite punches above its weight when it comes to amenities. Here's what you can expect:

  • Rooftop Sundeck: Clothing-optional and perfect for lounging under the Spanish sun with views over Sitges’ rooftops.
  • Infinity Spa: Open until midnight (yes, midnight!), this rooftop spa pool is an absolute highlight—especially after beach time or drinks.
  • Steam Room & Outdoor Shower: Recently added, these upgrades make the rooftop even more luxurious.
  • SkyBar: Serving cocktails from 11 AM to midnight—ideal for sunset drinks, poolside lounging, or pre-dinner vibes.
  • Cozy Lounge & Patio: On the ground level, there’s a social indoor/outdoor lounge space that fosters community and casual conversation.
  • Massage Services: Available by request with advance booking for that extra dose of pampering.

It’s rare to find a small hotel with this much going on—but somehow Elite makes it feel natural and effortless.

Accomodations

We stayed in a Premium Balcony Room and loved it. Here's what stood out:

  • Rooms are compact but smartly designed, around 15–16 square meters (160–170 sq. ft.)
  • Double beds, fluffy bathrobes, and high-thread-count linens make it feel like a mini spa retreat
  • Nespresso machine, complimentary water, air conditioning, and fast Wi-Fi—essentials done right
  • Modern bathrooms with walk-in rain showers and sleek finishes
  • Smart TVs with streaming options (perfect for a cozy night in)

From the lighting to the layout, everything feels thoughtfully curated. If you're booking during high season, you’ll want to reserve early—rooms fill fast!

We booked our stay using Booking, the most popular and LGBTQ+ supportive travel platform in Europe. We stayed during the shoulder season and snagged a great rate for just €132 per night!

Food & Drink

Unlike many boutique hotels, Elite includes a full breakfast buffet with every stay—and it’s served late, which we love after a night out. Expect:

  • Fresh pastries and breads
  • Made-to-order eggs
  • Fruits, cheeses, and meats
  • Fresh juices, coffee, and more

Breakfast is served in the cozy indoor lounge or on the leafy patio, depending on your mood. For drinks, head up to the SkyBar for cocktails or mixed drinks throughout the day. It’s the perfect spot to meet other guests or just take in the view with something chilled in hand.

Overall Experience

Elite Hotel Sitges gave us everything we wanted: a fun, relaxed vibe in a gay-only space with easy access to the beach and nightlife. The clothing-optional rooftop sundeck and infinity spa were a major highlight, and the small scale made it easy to get to know other guests without ever feeling crowded.

The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming. The design? Chic without trying too hard. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable.

If you're looking for an LGBTQ+ focused hotel with a playful yet upscale vibe, Elite Hotel Sitges should be at the top of your list.

Sitges Travel Tips

Planning your first gaycation to Sitges? Here are some quick tips to help:

  • Book early for summer! June to September is peak season, especially during events like Pride and Bear Week.
  • Don’t miss the events. Sitges Pride (June) and the two Bear Weeks (May & September) are legendary.
  • Pack light, but dress smart. You’ll want something beachy for day, and something bold or flirty for the clubs at night.
  • Explore on foot. Sitges is super walkable, so ditch the car and enjoy the cobblestone streets.
  • Take a day trip to Barcelona. Just 40 minutes by train, it’s a perfect way to mix beach town chill with big city buzz.
